Our Duffy windbreak is lightweight and made of polyethylene material. For day trips or holidays, this material is perfectly adequate.
The Fehmarn luxury windbreak is made of extremely high-quality, spinneret-dyed acrylic fabric. The design matches our Casa Royal 320 and 390 tents. A medium quality is the high quality polyester fabric, which lasts much longer than the polyethylene material, but not as long as the acrylic fabric.
A very high quality material is also Oxford polyester. This is a thread-reinforced polyester fabric. For UV stability, the Oxford polyester is also PU-coated.
A great luxury of a windbreak are the cross-stiffening poles at the top. The windbreak simply stands better. For soft sand, the ground anchors with pegs are very helpful.
Many sizes are available, with and without windows, entry-level models or expandable add-on systems.
