Aluminium solar panel brackets
Aluminium spoiler profiles - with chic end pieces
Spoiler profiles made of aluminium look classy and are very stable. These solar panel mounts are ideal for mounting large and small solar modules. The solar panel mounting with spoiler profile is characterised by high flexibility. You want more power? Simply remove the old solar panel with "2 screws" and the new one can be installed immediately. With the Carbest solar panel mount we can offer you a very good price-performance ratio. The extruded profile manufactured for the Carbest modules can be easily attached by screwing and/or gluing using high-strength polyurethane adhesives. The aerodynamic spoiler profile offers little wind resistance when driving. The sufficient distance to the vehicle roof ensures good panel ventilation and thus optimum power output from your solar module. The shortenable solar profile rods can be individually adapted to your solar panel, and the plastic caps supplied cover the spoiler profile edges.

Solar module holders made of ABS, plastic corner profiles made of PUR
Solar panel holders made of ABS or PUR plastic corner profiles, longitudinal profiles or connection sets. Carbest and Büttner offer simple solar module holders for your panels. The solar module holders are glued to the vehicle roof using, for example, the DEKAsyl power adhesive and the corresponding adhesion promoter. Beforehand, the solar panels are glued into the solar panel holders, so that module and holder form a solid unit. We recommend the installation of a spoiler profile due to the quieter wind noise and the greater flexibility.

Solar mounting on the roof of a motorhome, van or caravan
Solar systems should always be mounted as far away as possible from any superstructures such as satellite systems or roof racks. The less shadow that falls on your solar system, the greater the energy gain.
Before mounting the solar system, you should keep the following questions in mind:

  •     Where is the battery installed?
  •     Where is the solar controller located?
  •     Where is the perfect place on the roof?

Ideally, you should lay the cable upwards before installing the solar battery and/or solar controller. This way you can easily find the direct route to the roof and thus to the panel connection box. On the roof, it goes from the solar panel mount, using as little cable as possible, back down through the roof grommet. Often the "intended - direct path" is blocked by superstructures and installations on and in the vehicle. In this way, you will not only find the shortest, but also a feasible path for your solar cable.

Have you found the optimal place for your solar mounting?
Then you can start setting up the solar mount! Before you start, please cover your solar panel (especially when setting up outdoors)! Damage to the surface could occur when mounting on the solar panel mounts. Covering is even more important to prevent unwanted electricity production during set-up.
The solar panel is screwed to the spoiler profile, or the solar panel holder. Clean and degrease the vehicle roof. With a Sika product, the primer must now be applied. With Dekasyl, you do not need any primer, but for bonding ABS plastics (e.g. solar corner profiles), you will need a Dekavator or adhesion promoter.
After thorough preparation, the solar panel holders can be glued to the roof.
Wouldn't it be better to screw on the solar mounts?
In motorhomes, caravans and camping buses, the roof is usually made of thin sandwich material in which screws can hardly be firmly anchored. Of course you can fix the solar mounts with screws. But the new high-performance adhesives from Sika or Dekalin are an efficient fixing solution. The weather-resistant adhesives recommended in the solar panel mounting category will last "bombproof" for many years if used correctly.
